PC-Press Presents

Until Now:

Volume I: A Life in Photos 1982-1986

Beezer has published a new three-part photography book series Until Now.

The series presents an unparalleled 40 year archive of the artist’s photographs of Bristol, London, New York and Tokyo’s underground music and graffiti scene and youth culture over the past four decades.

Beezer captures the social and cultural dynamism of Bristol through his images of political protests and the city itself with community and celebrated club scene in its core.

The outlandish fashions and subcultures of the time feature prominently across this photographic time capsule capturing the soul and spirit of this joyful yet anarchic era while bringing together some of Beezer’s most iconic early images across Glastonbury, Notting Hill Carnival, Womad and more. This evocative monograph presents a powerful portrait of the early 1980s Britain through the prism of countercultural movements and communities that came to shape the cultural and political landscape of the country.

The book is available to purchase as a standard edition or as a limited special edition of  50 which will be accompanied by a dubplate containing 4 tracks by Bristol’s Dub Specialists ‘Dubkasm’.

A second limited edition of a further 50 with two dub tracks from Alpha, one with Horace Andy and one of their recent tracks.

A further limited edition of 50 and by Bristol producers ‘New Brand’, and a further 50 with Rob Smith and his remix of a Statik sound system classic Revolutionary Pilot track and another jungle track.
